Stroke - react immediately and save lives
World Stroke Day, which takes place annually on 29 October, aims to raise awareness of this sudden circulatory disorder in the brain. More than 16,000 people suffer a stroke in Switzerland every year, which corresponds to more than 40 people affected every day. Worldwide, strokes are the second most common cause of death after coronary heart disease.
