The Swiss Society of Neurosurgery SSNC
The Swiss Society of Neurosurgery (SSNC) was founded in 1954. The society’s aim is to promote neurosurgery, the planning of neurosurgical care in Switzerland and to represent the professional interests of specialist doctors in Switzerland. This means, among other things, promoting specialist education, further training, continuing medical education and research in neurosurgery, as well as teaching and research in close cooperation with clinical neuroscientists, especially in the fields of neurology and neuroradiology. The SSNC’s mission is also to plan and monitor the education and training of young neurosurgeons and offers specialist exams on the subject. The SSNC organises annual meetings for its members, which are complemented by further training and continuing education opportunities on a range of current topics. Its Annual Meetings also takes place each year jointly with another subject-related society.
